Yuri Kuper ( b.1940). Yuri Kuper was born in 1940 in Moscow, Russia. From 1957 to 1963, Kuper studied in the Fine Art Department, at , Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. For a time, Kuper was a book designer, working for the publishing house Young Guard. In 1967, he became a member of the Artist Union in the USSR. At thirty-two, Kuper emigrated to Israel.
