In addition, she studied at the Colorado Springs Fine Art Center and at the Arts Students League of New York under Reginald Marsh. At the Dallas art Institute, she was a student under Olin Travis and studied under Henry Varnum Poor and Arnold Blanch. Landers worked for the Dallas Public Library where she established the audiovisual department in 1942.
