From his studio in Gillette he creates dramatic western landscape, but he travels frequently for other landscape subjects to places including the Orient, East Africa, Russia, Caribbean, and Eastern Europe. He also got a degree in business at the University of Wyoming in Laramie and then joined the Army where he was stationed in Maryland and spent a lot of time in museums and painting in his spare hours.
