After earning a BFA at the University of Texas at Arlington, she worked for the next 15 years as a graphic designer and illustrator in Dallas. "I especially enjoy working in graphite pencil," she says. "It is a challenge to interpret tones, values, shapes, and textures of a subject that I might overlook if I worked in another medium."
