Born on July 9, 1943 in Quebec, Canada, Claude Alphonse Simard graduated from the Ontario College of Art in Toronto in 1966. Born on July 9, 1943 in Quebec, Canada, Claude Alphonse Simard graduated from the Ontario College of Art in Toronto in 1966. He then worked as a graphic designer and illustrator at La Maison Simons from 1966 to 1973. He ran his own communications firm from 1973 to 1984, and in 1984 he became a Professor in Graphic Communications at the University Laval. Simard executed several mural painting commissions for Parks Canada and others, and created eight postage stamp designs for the Canadian Postal Service. Since 1974, he has also created...
