She finished her schooling at London Ontario's Beal Tech, where she began training in the arts. Donoghue lived in Toronto, Bath in England, and New York City. Lynn Donoghue was born in Red Lake, Ontario in 1953. The Donoghue family moved often as a result of her fathers work;they lived in Newfoundland, and parts of Northern and Southern Ontario. She finished her schooling at London Ontario's Beal Tech, where she began training in the arts. Donoghue lived in Toronto, Bath in England, and New York City. She has been exhibiting her work since 1973, throughout Canada, in the United States of America and in the United Kingdom. Donoghue's early exhibited work was fairly controversial, select galleries refused to show her giant portraits of naked males. Along with portraits she also painted still life scenes.
