In 1929, Leighton was the youngest member of the Royal Society of British Artists. He was invited to replace Lars Haukness as the art director at the Provincial Institute of Design and Technology. The Canadian Pacific Railway commissioned Leighton to paint their advertising campaigns. He moved to Calgary. Leighton married one of his students, Barbara Harvey.... Read full biography
