Anton Braith (b.1836 / d.1905). Anton Braith was born on September 2, 1836 in Biberach, Germany. During his childhood, Braith was a cowboy with his father. In 1851, Braith received a scholarship studying drawing at the Art School in Stuttgart. His teachers were Bernhard von Neher, Heinrich von Rustige and Heinrich Funk. They were in the artists colony, Brannenburg, Pang and Aresing. Here, Braith did many paintings on the colony and outdoors. In 1867, Braith, along with Mali, Kappis and Carl Ebert, moved to Paris.
