He was invalided home and in 1901 went to Paris to study at Academie Julian's. On returning to England he married, and he and his wife, Muriel Winifred, spent their later life at Southern House, Albert Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Stewart was a keen hunting man and his work was predominantly of hunting scenes. In later life he was forced to give up hunting scenes as the result of an operation, but he continued to follow hounds... Read full biography
