Paul Kutscha-Arend was an Austrian natural and marine painter born in 1872 in Pruchna. He studied at the academy in Munich with Johann Caspar Herterich and Gabriel von Hackl and participated in the international art exhibition of the Munich Secession in 1894. Kutscha went on a four-year trip around the world and lived in Berlin from 1900. He settled in Hamburg from 1905-10 and lived in Dachau from 1913 until his death in Munich in 1935.
