Native American potter Richard Ebelacker is known for his traditional red and black Santa Clara Pueblo pottery. In 1992 he won Best of Classification at the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts. The Museum of New Mexico has a large red carved wedding vase by the artist on permanent exhibit. A fourth generation potter, he is the son of Virginia Ebelacker, the grandson of Margaret Tafoya and great grandson of Sarfina Tafoya. Source: Altermann Galleries, August 2006
