Theodor Werner ( 1886-1969). Born in Jettenburg/Württemberg, Germany, Werner became a certified teacher and studied art at the Stuttgart Academy with Robert Poetzelsberger in 1908/09. He went to Paris, France several times between 1909 and 1914 to study art, including at the studio of Charles Guérin. Following his military service Werner lived as a freelance painter in Großsachsenheim near Stuttgart until 1929. In 1930 he moved to Paris where he became member of the artists' group 'Abstraction...
