For over 70 years, Webb Young has studied and painted the New Mexico landscape, architecture, and people, capturing as perhaps few others have the flavor and beauty of old New Mexico. Forays into northern Arizona have also yielded some beautiful renditions of Navajo life and the Grand Canyon. Young was born in Covington, Kentucky on September 2, 1913. He grew up in Winnetka, a suburb on the lake near Chicago, Illinois, where his father was in the advertising business. His mother was a concert pianist.
