Upon returning to Hungary he became a student of the Hungarian Aademy of Fine Arts, first in Bertalan Székely's class, and then the class of Károly Ferenczy. He took a study trip through Germany and Italy in 1913. He was a member of the Society of Nagybánya Painters from the beginning, and became its leader in 1927, when he also took over direction of the painting school. After the Second World War, he only returned to artistic life in 1957. His memoirs came to be published in 1972.... Read full biography
