The artistic credo of the group was the practice of painting oriented towards the forms of modern art, pure figured, stylized, traditional, valuable and closely related to the ideology of the sacralization of art. The idea of the young painters was to organize artistic work on the principles of a medieval guild. Like journeymen in the guild, they were supposed to learn the secrets of the painting workshop, exploring, above all, the techniques of the old masters, and perfecting the ability to draw and compose multi-figure scenes.
