Poy Dalmau gained recognition for his work "El capuchón negro," which earned him a pension in Rome at the age of twenty-six. Throughout his career, he participated in National Exhibitions of Fine Arts and received several awards and medals for his artwork. Poy Dalmau also served as a professor of drawing at the School of Arts and Crafts in Madrid. His works are now preserved in the Prado Museum.
