During the late 1860s and early 1870s he lived in San Francisco where his son was born. He also owned three lots in East Oakland. The local press gave favorable mentions of his portraits, still lifes, and bird studies. He later returned to Reading and was active there until his death on Nov. 21, 1891.... Read full biography
