Bouviolle won the competition for the Abd-el-Tif villa prize in 1921 with his friend Jean Bouchaud. He received the great artistic prize of Algeria in 1931 and frequently exhibited his work, including his highly acclaimed Diorama on the seven cities of M'Zab in 1931 at the Colonial Exhibition. Some of his works are kept in the Museum of Fine Arts in Algiers.
