From 1867-69 she studied in Berlin with Karls Steffeck and from 1869-72 private lessons in Düsseldorf with Emil Volkers and Ernst Bosch. She followed with Private lessons in Berlin with Gustav Graef, then she was in Munich for three years before she returned to Schwerin.
