He studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, and traveled throughout Holland, Switzerland, and Italy. He became director of the Ecole Nationale d'Art Decoratif of Limoges in 1935. Fix-Masseau exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Français, and also in 1890 at the Sociéte des Beaux Arts, of which he became a member.... Read full biography

Fix-Masseau's sculptural work was highly regarded, especially his busts of Anna de Noailles. However, he was also famous for his decorative and graphic arts.
