His preferred subject matter, landscapes, display a German style of painting, probably the influence of his teacher Max Haushofer at the Prague Academy. Kosáreks artistic achievements consist of reproducing nature in an objective manner, thereby succeeding in the transition from a romantic to a realist approach.
