Bernhard Kretzschmar (1889-1972) studied from 1909 until 1911 at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Dresden. After study trips to South Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Italy he got finally accepted at the Academy in Dresden as a master pupil of Carl Bantzer.
