Frederick Anton Kievits (1887-1951). Born in Bogor, Java, Sept. 10, 1887. He was a painter and draughtsman and lived and worked in Indonesia in the 1920s and 30s. He had a one-man-show in Jakarta, at Kunstzaal & Co. in 1930. In 1938 he participated in the prestigious Bondscollectie' of Jakarta - organized by the Dutch Colonial Bataviasche Kunstkring formed to showcase works by Dutch painters born in Indonesia.
