In 1825 Sattler moved back to Vienna, where he received drawing lessons by Johann Josef Schindler and attended courses at the Vienna Academy. Hubert Sattler was born in Vienna in 1870. A short time later the family moved to Salzburg. In 1825 Sattler moved back to Vienna, where he received drawing lessons by Johann Josef Schindler and attended courses at the Vienna Academy. Following the example of his father, Hubert Sattler also began with the presentation of panorama-like paintings. Since he almost traveled through the whole world, his paintings witness a variety of motifs, so that he was eventually referred to as a travel painter.
