Julia is a self-taught Mexican painter who lived the peak time of the Generation of the Rupture, nevertheless its style was much more marked by the movement of the muralism. In 1952, she met Frida Kahlo, who recommended her to pose as a model at La Esmeralda. In 1952, she met Frida Kahlo, who recommended her to pose as a model at La Esmeralda.
