Between 1958 and 1961 he gave his work a new change: Now leaned Oberhuber any style education, and it created pictures in vielfältigster technique and themes. In 1964 Oberhuber was a consultant, and then from 1973 he was artistic director of the Galerie St. Stephan. In 1972 Oberhuber represented Austria at the Venice Biennale.
