At the same time, she attended the Académie de la Grande Chaumière as well as the workshops of Jean Souverbie and André Lhote. Through Henri Gotz, in 1949 she met, among others, Pierre Soulages, with whom she maintained a close friendship. Bloch's first solo exhibition took place in 1951 at the Galerie Mai in Paris, followed by two other presentations in the United States.
