Robert August Rudolf Schietzold, also known as Rudolph Schützhold, was a German landscape painter born in Dresden in 1842. He studied at the Dresden Academy and was a pupil of Ludwig Richter from 1863 to 1869. Schietzold was influenced by Eduard Schleich and Adolf Heinrich Lier while living in Munich from 1870.
