I felt the need to explore the boundaries of painting. I realized that I had to throw away everything I had learned, give up everything I had absorbed, and go back to the basics: line, stain, color. I got rid of the human figure, the representability. I started simple: mixing colors, building space through stain.” TOMEK BARAN
