Statement from the artist:. “I made my debut quite quickly, I had my first solo exhibition in my 4th year, but after graduating, I felt a sense of emptiness. I spent a lot of time thinking about what painting means to me. That was the first time I decided to go beyond the canvas and break the space of the canvas. I spent a lot of time thinking about what painting means to me. That was the first time I decided to go beyond the canvas and break the space of the canvas. I felt the need to explore the boundaries of painting. I realized that I had to throw away everything I had learned, give up everything I had absorbed, and go back to the basics: line, stain, color. I got rid of the human figure, the representability. I started simple: mixing colors, building space through stain.” TOMEK BARAN
