In 1883/1884 Eisenhut made his first trip to the Orient in the Caucasus as far as Baku, after which he traveled from Munich to North Africa and Egypt as well as the Middle East. Ferencz Franz Eisenhut's first oriental painting was "Healing through the Koran" from 1883, which Emperor Franz Joseph I. v. of Austria commissioned for the royal palace in Buda. In particular, his street and genre scenes, in which Eisenhut described the exotic magic of the Orient and which were reproduced as reproductions, made him a widely known painter who received high...
