Nowak’s career began to develop after the end of the Second World War. At that time, his expressive landscape paintings had been exhibited with great success. Nowak mixes all of his colors himself, so that each painting has a unique color impact. The painter became dubiously famous when he and a friend gave a faked Monet to a museum in Braunschweig. After observing the fuss the museum people were creating over the painting, Nowak resolved the case.... Read full biography
