In 1954, Mansoureh, like many of future contemporary Iranian artists, left Iran to pursue her studies in Rome, Italy. She attended the Academi di Belle Arti in Rome. In 1956, her work and that of a few other Iranian artists were selected for the Venice Biennial XXVIII. In 1957 she had her first solo exhibition in Rome.
