Striking iconic Pacific Northwest imagery of a burnt out ancient cedar tree from her trip out West with Louis Comfort Tiffany in August of 1916. This picture, and one very similar by Tiffany, were painted side-by-side in Stanley Park, Vancouver, BC. Great frame and Provenance, as well.

This is a wonderful oil sketch that resulted in a finished painting supposedly representing the Woman Painters of Washington enjoying a warm Summer Day on Whidbey Island, where the Camffermans lived and has an art school/colony. Housed is a period silver cove molding. This is a double-sided piece with a great depiction of what is most likely her husband Peter digging in the Garden under a blossoming cherry tree. My third image shows the reverse & my fourth image shows the larger finished painting I spoke of above for comparison.
