He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, where in 1884 Mylius gets the prize for the historical landscape with a view of the town of Sesto Calende Lake Maggiore, the place of the landing of Garibaldi and the regiments of Hunters of the Alps in May 1859.
