Tadeusz Rybkowski was born in 1848 in Poland. Rybkowski studied at the School of Fine Arts in Krakow (1872-75), and then at the Vienna Academy with C. Wurzinger, L. Löffler, and H. Makart. Rybkowski also took classes in theater decorations studios. He traveled a lot - he visited Vienna, Italy, Munich, Dresden, Berlin, Paris.
