Walter Waentig (* 17. November 1881 in Zittau ; Ã 7. September 1962 in Gaienhofen[1]) was a German painter, graphic artist and conservationist. Waentig was born in 1881 as the son of an old-fed family of publishing in the Upper Lusatian town of Zittau in Saxony. After completing the Realgymnasium, he came to the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts at the age of only 16. Waentig was born in 1881 as the son of an old-fed family of publishing in the Upper Lusatian town of Zittau in Saxony.
